광운대학교 화학공학과 학생회는 1986년을 기점으로 하여 현재까지 활발히 활동중이다. 학생들의 전반적인 학교 학과 생활을 지원하는 것을 주 역할로써 수행한다. 학생들의 다양한 의견을 수렴하여 불편점, 요구사항들을 개선 및 수용한다. 또한, 교수님과 학생간의 중간 다리로써 원활하고 적극적인 의사소통에 기여하고 있다.
학생회는 회장단을 중심으로 하여, 그 산하에 집행부, 기획부, 사무부, 홍보부로 구성되어 있다. 회장단은 학생회장, 부회장, 각 학년대표로 구성되며, 주요 사안들을 결정하고 통솔한다. 기획부에서 사업이나 행사를 기획하면, 집행부에서 실질적인 진행을 맡으며, 홍보부가 이를
학생들에게 전달하는 역할이다. 사무부는 재정을 관리하며, 학생회 예산을 투명하게 공개하는 데에 힘을 쏟는 부서이다.
학생회는 학과를 위해 봉사하는 마음으로 참여한 학생들이 함께 이끌어가는 것을 목적으로 한다. 수직적인 관계를 지양하고 학생 개개인의 의견을 최대한으로 수렴하며 자유롭게 의견을 제시할 수 있는 환경을 만드는 것을 지향한다.
The student council of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Kwangwoon University has been active since 1986. Supporting students' overall school life is performed as a main role. It improves and accepts inconveniences and requirements by collecting various opinions from students. In addition, it contributes to smooth and active communication as a bridge between professors and students.
The student council consists of the executive branch, the planning department, the secretariat, and the public relations department, centering on the presidency. The presidency consists of the student president, the student vice-president, and grade representatives, and determines and leads major issues and servicess. When the planning department plans a project or event, the executive department is in charge of actual progress, and the public relations department is in charge of delivering it to students. The secretariat is a department that manages finances and focuses on transparently disclosing the student council budget.
The student council aims to lead the students who participated with a mind of serving the department. It aims to avoid vertical relationships, collect individual opinions as much as possible, and create an environment where opinions can be freely presented.
